At Alchemy Junk, we know that clearing out a loved one's home after they have passed away can be daunting. A typical estate contains between 5,000 and 15,000 pounds of material that needs to be relocated, recycled, or thrown in the trash. You are essentially removing a lifetime's worth of belongings, at least some of which will have value to you. An estate cleanout is much more than mere junk removal, which is why we will work closely with you to ensure that your loved one's home and belongings are treated with the utmost respect.
When we are hired to perform an estate cleanout, we first meet with the clients to determine what items are to be saved and what can be thrown away. We will provide an estimate in writing for what we will be able to take, which can include anything from old containers that can be disposed of, to antique furniture and any items with sentimental value. We will work closely with you throughout the cleanup process to ensure that any items of value are preserved, and we recycle as much as we can as our commitment to being as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. If we come across items of considerable value that you do not wish to keep, we will also work with you to offset the costs of removal or relocation. We also work with local thrift stores to donate items that can be sold or reused. As always, we will check with you before we decide if an item is worth saving or if it should be recycled.
Our team will work with you to remove a wide range of items during estate cleanouts, including:
Depending on the number of items and the types of items to be removed during an estate cleanout, the cost of residential cleanout services can range from $300-$5000.
Please feel free to reach out to our team for a more accurate estimate of your estate cleanout needs.
